About Us

MUSIC IS OUR CAUSE! Professionalizing the market and fostering networking – our mission!

Music & Business

After years of experience in the auditorium and in the studio, the time has come to take this content to the whole of Brazil. Voted the best education program for Music Business in Brazil at the 2019 Prêmio Profissionais da Música (PPM) program, “Music & Business: Entrepreneurship and Innovation” is now available in a digital version.

Música & Negócios now has an online version and is accompanied by several other courses.

The course lasts eight weeks. Classes will be taught through videos, podcasts, online exercises and case studies, webinars with speakers, virtual forums between students and connections with researchers and players in the music industry.

Purpose of the program

The Entrepreneurship Program offers a comprehensive overview of the music industry, including its history, innovations and trends. It provides knowledge, critical analysis and tools to manage artistic careers and music businesses. The team supports those who are looking to gain a foothold in the market, develop their career as an artist or create a startup in the music and technology sector.

Why work in the music industry?

Music has a major social, symbolic and economic impact in Brazil, which is one of the largest music markets in the world. In 2019, ECAD distributed almost R$1 billion in royalties. Digital consumption and new platforms continue to generate opportunities, with around 6 million people working in the music and events sector in Brazil.
