Carlos Taran was born in Uruguay and has lived in Brazil for over 10 years, where he works as an entrepreneur and artistic director, associated with names such as Tiago Iorc and Titãs, as well as Jorge Drexler (for concert contracts in Brazil). He has a degree in Business Administration and an MBA in Cultural Management from FGV-RJ. He has worked in Argentina and Spain. He is the author of the article “We need to talk about streaming”, which generated a series of debates on royalty payment models in streaming. He was the artistic director of the Metropolitan, one of the largest concert venues in Latin America.
